Child supplement

  • US$ 155 per child (ages 6 – 11 years) per night when sharing a tent with parents. An additional bed will be provided.
  • Children 5 years or younger are FOC

Child supplementAbove rates include:

  • Accommodation in AC en suite tents. Alfresco shower for deluxe tents, and in room showers for the Suite tents.
  • 1 morning game drive, and 1 evening game drive, per night of stay, in customized safari game viewing vehicle (shared basis)
  • A qualified naturalist/game ranger to be a personal guide to you during your stay
  • Snacks and drinks on game drives
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner at camp
  • Water, fruit juices, and other soft drinks
  • Wine, beer and spirits
  • All government park entry fees ($40 per person per safari)
  • All government taxes and service charge (Totalling 26%)
  • Transfers to and from designated pickup point to Leopard Trails campsite

Extras (advance notice required)

  • US$ 180 per day for exclusive use of a safari vehicle with game ranger.

Conditions

  • Drivers/guides will not be accommodated at our campsites.

Refund Policy (following cancellation by the client)

Leopard Trails will have no liability to pay compensation to you for any failure to properly fulfil the contract, where the failure is attributable to you. Examples would be that any member of your party is unable to travel for reasons such as failing to take his/her passport with him/her, or traveling on a passport which does not meet the requirements of entry into Sri Lanka, or to get a required tourist entry visa. Leopard Trails assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to property or for injury, illness or death, for any damages or claims however so caused arising directly or indirectly from war, riot strife, industrial dispute, contact with wild animals, terrorist activity, actions of governments or other state bodies, unavoidable technical problems with transport, machinery or equipment, delays, power failure, natural disaster, tsunami, fire, adverse weather conditions or levels of water in rivers, accidents from the time of pick up to drop down at Leopards Trails, or Acts of God.

Due to the stringent foreign exchange controls enforced by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka the required process is complicated and time consuming. We cannot simply remit your dues out of Sri Lanka until we obtain Foreign Exchange approval from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

  • 5 weeks or more before arrival: 75% of the invoice value (excluding transfers to and from Leopard trails to other parts of the country) to be refunded.
  • Less than 5 weeks and more than 2 weeks before arrival: 50% of the invoice value (excluding transfers to and from Leopard trails to other parts of the country) to be refunded.
  • 2 weeks or less before arrival: There will not be any refund.
  • Client must bare all local & foreign bank transfer fees, exchange rate differences and credit card commissions if any for a refund.

Refund Policy (following cancellation by Leopard Trails) – To Date Leopard Trails has never had to cancel a booking.

The safety of the client is of utmost importance to us, and in extremely rare circumstances Leopard Trails may need to cancel your holiday due to natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such an event Leopard Trails will guarantee the following refunds:

  • Prior to arrival: 100% of the invoiced value (excluding transfers to and from Leopard trails to other parts of the country) to be refunded.
  • During your holiday: 80% of the invoiced value for the number of nights cancelled will be refunded.

Payment methods

  • We accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards only via our card payment link (https://payment.leopardtrails.com/). Additional 3.5% Bank Fee will be applicable.

  • Client must bear all local & foreign bank transfer fees and credit card commissions if any.
  • 50% advance payment of invoice is required to confirm the booking at the time of reservation and balance amount to be paid before 30 days of arrival.
  • 25% of the advance payment is NON REFUNDABLE

Insurance

  • Comprehensive Travel Insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses emergency Travel, and personal accident, personal baggage and money loss is compulsory for all participants on any and all Safaris or tour offered by Leopard Trails. This should be arranged at the time of payment of the deposit to cover you for cancellation from that time.
  • The client acknowledges that it is his/ her responsibility to take insurance. The client undertakes to take comprehensive travel insurance to cover his/ her personal requirements.
  • Please note that credit card travel insurance is inadequate for a Safari/ Tour.

By confirming the booking and making payment, you have agreed to our terms & conditions.

The Experience

  • Please note that the standard check-in time in line with the Leopard Trails program is 1330HRS and hence we kindly request guests to be brought to the pickup at the stipulated time where they will be met/ greeted by our team and escorted to the campsite in our safari vehicle(s). Early check-in is subject to availability and should be informed at the time of booking.
  • The guests will be served lunch on arrival and will commence the first game drive in the afternoon, and the last game drive of the stay will be on the morning of the day of departure prior to checkout.
  • The Checkout time is at 1030HRS.
  • Afternoon game drives require departure from camp at 1430-1500 HRS and therefore we urge guests to arrive sharp at 1330HRS to allow time for an arrival briefing, familiarization, and lunch.
  • The safari vehicle unless booked on an exclusive basis is shared with other guests. Please ensure to convey to all guests at the time of booking so that we can be prepared with a Leopard Trails Ranger and vehicle.
  • A Leopard Trails Ranger will make contact with the guests or their driver, usually a day prior to arrival, to coordinate the pickup from the pickup point.
  • Bush walks, cooking demonstrations, junior ranger course, temple visits and other nearby excursions, and boat safaris are included in the price but will be arranged if informed in advance. We regret that in some instances we may not be able to provide a specific activity.
  • Please note that a Full Day Game drive, excursions to other parks or activities out of the normal shared safari program that cannot be executed with a shared game drive requires a Private Guided Safari.
  • Request for Private Guided Safaris are to be communicated well in advance and is subjected to availability of guides.
